Merry Christmas!

I can hardly believe that it's that time again. Writing (or in my case, painting) Christmas cards, buying and wrapping presents, decorating the house, and baking all the Christmassy goodies...I LOVE this! With all the excitement of the holidays, it's easy to lose sight of the reason why I'm celebrating this. I am soo thankful that Jesus left the comfort of his home in heaven to come to earth as a little baby so that he could pay the price for my sins. I don't understand that kind of love, but I am forever grateful. So, merry Christmas to you all, and don't forget the "why" behind all of this.

We bought a "kids tree" for $10 from our favorite tree place (Trinity Tree Farms in Issaquah, Wa), and we put it up on Nick's wood chopping stump that we rolled in from the back yard. Perfect to keep tempting branches and ornaments from an increasingly mobile little boy's mischievous paws. There is a Leggo "Candy Cane Express" Train around the base...needless to say, it gets looted and plundered daily.
